Hummer Fun

Got to take the Hummer out for some adventure. We got to bounce around a lot. We got to take a wheel off the ground. We went up and down steep mountains. Some parts we found tight and got a bit stuck. Since we were there with another Hummer that was not a problem. We left with mud and dirt inside and out.

All Stars 2017

Lucien's participation in All-Stars got cut short due to his arm pain. We still sponsored the team and went to support and watch them play tournaments.

Astros Game

We were given Astros tickets by a family member who could not attend. We dropped off Major to stay with GGma while we went to the game and had a blast. They were playing the Angels and the Astros loved to hate on Albert Pujols. We simply enjoy baseball.

During the game an Angels player Andrelton Simmons tossed a foul ball to a little boy in front of us. His buddy was crushed. The next inning while warming up Albert Pujols was on deck. People in the stands began to heckle him. A foul ball bounced back his way and he waved off the bat boy who came to pick it up. He instead tossed it to the other little boy in front of us. They are now his biggest fans. The game goes on and although the Astros are losing we are having a good time. The wave gets going, Orbit comes by, it happens to be StarWars night and it is just good game fun.

A bit later the dugout manager comes to the side of the dugout and begins to toss balls into the stands. The little kids in front of us get one again. The dad suggests he give it to the kid behind them, that being Lucien. Now the story goes that the kid got the ball from Pujols mixed up with the other ball. Either way we had a great time and Lucien came home with wonderful memories and a baseball from the game.

Last Day of School

As a mom I am so thankful that Lucien had a wonderful school year. We finished off the year not how we expected.
Mrs. Shuler taught math, science and social studies.
Ms. Smith taught reading and language arts
Both had flexible seating which made for a great learning environment. They both guided Lucien to excel and grow.

A huge asset to the Negley community this year was a bright and energetic music teacher. Mrs. Kibodeaux took a brief time off to have a beautiful baby (born on Lucien's birthday) and the kids were thrilled upon her return. She did a great job with the choir kids and bringing the love of music all students.

Who knew back in August we'd be moving locations and school.

As room mom I did a collection for an end of year gift perfect for teachers. I knew it would be appreciated by the teachers and easy for parents with little time to prep... just send cash.
