Science Project Presentation

Lucien finished up his Science Project and is ready to give his speech to explain to his class and teacher all about the Robot Battery Battle!

Ready to Share

Wednesday at the end of the day Lucien found out his project "made it to the hall" to be judged!

Ready to share his project with the judges. Complete with a robot bowtie!

Lucien came home disappointed that not many of the judges asked him to talk about his project or board. He worked so hard on the graphics, charts, typing and execution of the project we all wish he'd been given a better chance to share his robotic knowledge.  

Basketball

To keep active during the winter months Lucien signed up to play basketball in the City of Kyle recreation league. At the clinic day back in November we watched to see how he would do since we haven't ever played. To our suprise he could dribble and shoot with ease.

In January he began games!
He made the first 1 baskets of the game for 4 points.

Science Fair Prep

Lucien began the work on his Science Project during Christmas Break. After building and programming his robot the testing of batteries began. He recorded baselines and the tested the batteries after each run.

I'd like to note the reason he wanted to do this project was so that he could use a robot. Lucien and Steven are often working on robots together and Lucien is learning to write code from his dad.

Also this summer Lucien got "meet" Robonaut, so the love of robotics continues to grow!
