We enjoyed the long MLK Weekend at Blanco State Park.
This was a charming park with a lot of walking trails, fishing, and ranger talks.
The rocks provided fun places to climb and explore. It was too cold in January to swim.
Lucien and Jill went on a ranger talk to learn about Vultures. We saw from a distance a raccoon sleeping in a tree. We did not see any actual vultures, but we learned new facts about these interesting and vital creatures.
Although we were only able to stay a few days this will defiantly be a future camping spot for our family for the following reasons:
+ close to home
+good 4G signal
+wifi in park
+beautiful night stars
+well maintained park and friendly staff
